Jan. 29, 2010 - Nippon Steel Corp. and Tata Steel Ltd. have approved the framework of a joint venture for the production and sale of automotive cold-rolled steel sheets at Jamshedpur Works, Jharkhand, India.
World Crude Steel Output Decreases by 8.0% in 2009
Jan. 25, 2010 - Despite a 13.5% year-on-year increase in crude steel production from China, world crude steel production decreased by about 8.0% in 2009 compared to 2008, with an estimated production total of 1220 million tonnes.
